Zushi was opened on 3rd October 2005 to a hungry crowd of sushi lovers in search of quality and value in the inner Sydney area. Zushi has since attracted many fans in our 4 years in business. Our goal has always been to provide the best casual Japanese dining experience in Sydney through high quality and value for money. 

Zushi specialises in the freshest and tastiest sushi + sashimi in town, but we also have a great selection of classic japanese entrees and main courses. Come try our famous starters such as the Tuna Tataki, or pop in for a classic of Teriyaki Chicken after some sushi. We have become famous for our special rolls such as the Zushi Spider Roll - soft-shell crab, avocado, wasabi mayonnaise, as well as the Lobster Roll, Gyoza Roll, and many others to choose from.

In 2007 we were awarded the inaugural Lifestyle Food Channel's "Australia's Favourite Japanese Restaurant" award in 2007, and followed it up in 2009 by winning not only the Lifestyle Food Channel's "Australia's Favourite Asian Restaurant", but also the overall title of "Australia's Favourite Restaurant". 

We are licensed and BYO wine only (corkage $3pp). Come check out our drinks list which includes our unique sake sangrias, plum wine sangrias, boutique Aus/NZ wines, and Sapporo beer on tap!

If you just want a little drink and snack, Zushi has a variety of small tasting plates such as crispy scallops wrapped in nori, soft-shell crab tempura and crispy gyoza, all for only $10-12! Grab a few friends, try a jug of our sake sangria, and work your way through our selection.

Zushi is a no bookings restaurant, but we use a waitlist system so just rock up and if we're full, we'll put your name down for the next available table. We now have over 45 seats for our ever-growing fan base, so getting you seated will be a piece of sushi. Even on our busy nights the wait is rarely over 15mins, and of course there are plenty of bars next door for a cheeky drink before dinner.

Zushi has Happy Hour every Monday night from 6pm-7pm, 30% off selected sushi, sashimi, rolls and all specialty rolls! So pop in early, order before 7pm and get your favourite sushi for 30% off. It's dine-in only so make sure you turn up for the deal!
